Hello, my name is Steve Jacobson.  Information about my massage is mentioned below:

How I got into Massage:

Twelve years ago, I lived in Orlando and had the opportunity to get my first full body massage.  It was Awesome!  Little did the therapist know that he had set me on a course to learn this.  Shortly after that, my mom started to become very Ill with Lymphoma (Cancer).  Massaging her hands and feet seemed to provide more benefit sometimes than the medication she was on for pain. I also had the opportunity to work on many of my Aunts to help relieve stress.  The power of touch was all too apparent.  I just had to get into it!

I've been doing massage for 5 years and suspect that it will be a part-time or full-time vocation for the rest of my life.  I'll also be dedicated to finding new alternative health measures to help other individuals whether its is through massage, nutrition or other health restoration techniques.

My Schooling:

I've been certified in California at the National Holistic Institute.  The program lasted a year and I completed 720 hours of massage.  The school primarily taught Swedish, Deep Tissue and Shiatsu massage.  We also had classes in Thai, Lymphatic Drainage and Energy Massage.  While at school I had the opportunity to work with AIDS patients in a hospice in downtown San Francisco.

In Florida I became Licensed by attending Palm Beach Academy of Massage in Palm Beach Gardens.  I highly recommend this school to anyone thinking of a career in massage.
